WALLKR (LES MARCHEURS)Each day when sunset comes, young people from Marrakech close townships are climbing to the top of these small mountains to watch the sunset going down under the city where belong their dreams. With group of friends or eventually with a girlfriend, they are climbing to enjoy this small space of time far from social patterns and economic realities. Most of them stayed quiet watching the sunset set front of the city, speechless and dreaming, sometimes with a guitar, sometimes with hashish or sniffing glue. Those mountains close to the city have been used as stone quarries as the city grew, pushing the borders far from the center to reach the desert mountains. This no man’s land is the obliged path to those people who has to go to school or to work in the city and leave their township, a natural frontier between the dream of better life and daily reality. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
